Jewish lifecycles are a time of growth when we express ourselves through ritual. Cantor Barbra is available to serve your needs whether it is a Bar/ Bat Mitzvah for your child, your own wedding, or the naming of your child. On other occasions, Cantor Barbra conducts funerals and unveilings.

High Holidays

The majority of Cantor Barbra’s families are unaffiliated with a synagogue and haven’t had a place to worship for the High Holidays. In September 2018, after numerous requests, Cantor Barbra conducted Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at a local library. The services are geared towards young families with a user friendly machzor (High Holiday prayerbook). Each service lasts approximately 1 ½ hours which includes discussions and family participation. Each child receives his/her own shofar and there is an opportunity to play musical instruments. On Rosh Hashanah, apples with honey for a sweet year are served in addition to other refreshments. All new, current, and former families are invited with their relatives.
