As you know, we originally sought a tutor to renew Alexa's interest in studying about Jewish tradition after traditional Hebrew School did not work for us. Morah Debbie not only reignited Alexa's desire to learn, but gave her the drive and reassurance to successfully study for her bat mitzvah. We also were concerned about not having a bat mitzvah service in a synagogue, but ultimately the service became so much more meaningful and intimate as Alexa was able to make it her own. We are so appreciative that the tutoring and leadership services you provided were available to make it possible and practical (and beautiful!) for our family to continue with Jewish tradition. We just wanted to thank you for a beautiful day. Billy's Bar Mitzvah was fantastic. Your service was just perfect. We received so many compliments. Billy's friends said that it was the best Bar Mitzvah they've gone to. Our nieces and nephews were thrilled to be included, especially when you asked them to march with the Torah. We were told that it was elegant and personalized. The pamphlets were easy to follow and allowed everyone to participate. Also, we'd like to compliment tutor Cammy. She has a cheery and encouraging personality. A great match for Billy! He always looked forward to his lessons with her. She prepared him well for his big day.

I am forwarding many photos of my grandson Evan Liman's Bar Mitzvah on March 20, 2016. There we're 122 in attendance including 35 of his classmates, our family, and friends held at The Terrace of Biagio's in Paramus, NJ. When we first met I discussed with you that my old children were Bar Mitzvahed and I wanted Eli's to be different. We wanted it to be stress free and we wanted to enjoy the process. Well, you delivered on our request. The tutoring was perfect, Eli learned Jewish history, tradition, and was well prepared for his Bar Mitzvah. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such an important time in our lives.

I used Cantor Barbra's services for my kids' B'nai Mitzvah. We initially had one of her tutors come to our home which was great and fit really well into my work schedule, as well as the kids' schedule. Having an at-home tutor allowed for a 'one on one' setting, which ensured me both kids were getting the most out of the lesson, rather than in a classroom setting where the child's mind might wander, or, the child may not speak up if he/she is not understanding all the material. Together with the tutor, the kids got exposure to Jewish culture, lifestyle, etc, as well as learning the Hebrew language, in preparation for their B'Nai Mitzvah. As we got closer to the event, Cantor Barbra came and provided the kids with much guidance and clear dedication to preparing for their B'Nai Mitzvah.

Having the lessons at the house for the last 2 ½ + years, allowed me to listen in, know exactly what the kids were getting out of the lessons, hear and feel very at ease and comfortable with the passion and commitment both Cantor Barbra and Morah Barbara (tutor) had towards making sure the kids were prepared.

I was very happy with Cantor Barbra’s delivery of the service. Very professional, caring and supportive from A to Z. I would definitely recommend her services.

Our son had a few obstacles (namely that he had 7 weeks in which to prepare) that made preparing him a bit challenging. Truthfully, I had some anxieties as to how much he would be able to learn but I was truly impressed with what you were able to teach Alex. He soaked it up and simply needed the right teacher. Correct guidance and support through the process. Yes, Alex worked hard but you provided him with the teachings and the encouragement that he could do it and he did! We are so grateful to you for having him fully prepared for his big day. The service was beautiful and we will always be indebted to you for getting him where he needed to be.

First, I must say that you have a lovely voice and I very much enjoyed listening to you sing at my son Jake's Bar Mitzvah. You sing the prayers perfectly, and it really brings life to the ceremony. Also, you did such a wonderful job with Jake, and were always so patient with him. Ultimately, he did an excellent job with less preparation than most kids have for their Bar Mitzvah. I know a big factor in his success is your wonderful teaching and encouragement. I will surely recommend you to anyone who is looking to find a great cantor, teacher, or both!
